HOW TO DRAW A BALLERINA DANCING WITH BIRDS – Pen & Ink – Fountain Pen and Brush Pen

Hello my friends and welcome to another
Tuesday of tutorial! I am Leonardo Pereznieto and today we
will draw a ballerina, and some birds. I’ll begin sketching with
a brush pen. First the shape of the head… here will go the ear, the jaw and the chin, and some features. Very simplified! I filled the brush pen with watercolor, with a blue watercolor which is dimmer but similar to the ink I have in the fountain pen that I will use. The list of materials is in the description below the video. So I do the first sketch with the brush, fairly loosely and without worrying too much about making a mistake or about the details. With this brush I also shade and of course I avoid applying it to the
areas of light. Very good! let’s draw a cast shadow as well, all right, and now some birds they will be flying around her and in different directions. I’ll reinforce some of the shadows. Good! In regards to the birds I don’t do
little detail and I leave them kind of blurry because they are at a distance
and in movement. Let’s draw the shadow of the leg as well and some more birds over this side. I think the birds give freshness and movement to the scene. Let’s add some more I want plenty of birds! Some little ones which will be far
away, and some closer ones Very good! The shadow or reflection and
now let’s pick up the fountain pen to give more detail, more definition and
more intensity to the shading. We drew the eyebrows, eyelashes, the ear and now the hair, then the nose, mouth and chin. I’m drawing with my Pilot Justus 95
fountain pen, which I love because it has a soft nib which is perfect for drawing. And I’m using pigment ink which is permanent and I recommend it over regular ink because it is a lot more resistant to fading with the light. Just make sure the ink doesn’t dry inside the pen because it would clog it. I’m outlining and shading some parts with the fountain pen, for clarity and intensity,
but others like the back leg, I leave them dimmer with just the brush to
achieve softness and movement. Very good! ¡Excelente! It’s ready! If you enjoyed it, please give it a LIKE! subscribe to Fine Art-Tips if you haven’t done so already, click on the little bell to get notifications of new videos, and I will see you, on Tuesday ๐Ÿ˜‰ Subtitled by Grethel Trejo
