The Fibonacci Sequence is a series of numbers

where each number is the sum of the previous two numbers. The numbers in the sequence have extraordinary

mathematical properties and can be found in patterns all throughout nature, so I decided to see what they would sound

like as music. To create the melody, I assigned the numbers

1 through 8 to the E major scale on the keyboard, and added 0 and 9 on each side with the natural

extension of the scale. I played the resulting melody with my right

hand and added harmonies with my left hand. Now, the first number of the Fibonacci Sequence

is 0. But 0 added to itself just equals 0 forever. In fact, that’s what you’ve been hearing

in the background. In order to start the sequence, we need to

add a 1.

Thanks for watching! For those asking about a pi song – I've actually made one for pi as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wM-x3pUcdeo

perfect golden ratio

Great now you need e next.

But the method you choose to translate the numbers to notes is only meaningful in base 10 which makes your experiment about as interesting as choosing keys at random.

Nothing impressive, just the major scale.

Stonks.

хотелось бы в ритме вальса услышать это

Well to be fair anything played in in a scale will sound nice. Just saying 😅

This is the magic of western musical structure. It's so Well though out and designed that as long as you harmonize properly and don't leave the key, the melody can be anything.

You are litterally playing the individual digits of the sequence instead of the actual numbers. so for example you play 13 as 1+3 (E+Gsharp) where you should be playing just Gsharp (if you extrapolate the numbering system up the octaves… just a thought

You just assigned numbers to the notes of a major scale, and you don't use the actual numbers either (you treat 89 like 8 & 9).

It's not interesting musically nor does it have anything to do with the Fibonacci sequence. This is garbage content

Tool used fibbonachi sequence in their song lateralus

Why is he playing the digits of the sequence, if you really wanted to play Fibonacci sequence, you should have played keys corresponding to modulo of the sequence…

Feigenbaum Constant

Lol i heard this before and i forgot, i knew it was fibonacci

I needed this like 8 years ago for pre cal

this could be my thesis

Absolutely brilliant 👏🏼

I never ever thought about gow it would sound 🔊

That was amazing❤

Do you realize this man memorized all those numbers on his head

When things that can’t play music are better at music than you.

I think he just made

the best song ever and its mathematically proven to be soAbsolutely beautiful!!!!

So technically that's the universe song?

Lateralus, by tool

People say the Bible is God's law. Or other religious texts. If there is a God or "programmer" of some capacity, I say Mathematics is the real language and law.

This is what you hear when you die and go to heaven

Playing this sequence, will transport you thru a worm hole to a field where a guy is playing a digital piano.

But… Lateralus?

So, this is what life sounds like

oh, oh…play the DNA strand! (screams DNA strand like "free bird" at any concert)

BEAUTIFUL

The Fibonacci sequence is included in the decimal system of calculus. The musical series consists of 7 steps and includes 12 semitones. 10 vs 7 vs 12. This isn't Fibonacci sequence music, it's a simple harmony challenge for a music College with given steps that have NOTHING to do with geometric progression. The theme of the Fibonacci sequence in music is not disclosed.

Requiem per Fibonacci

Beethoven has left the chat.

Bellísimo!

Wow

This is pretty cool. I'd like to hear it played in different keys/modes as well.

this is completely wrong…the numbers mirror the notes going up the scale…no notes on the scale would go back in tone unless played backwards…it would get so high pitch we would not hear it and so low the same. this guy is a complete moron and should be shot on site for posting this false information.

I feel like something should have unlocked, did something unlock? Did anyone else feel it?

Short your mouth!!!!!!

I think this guy remember all digit of Fibonacci series

We’ve found another appearance in nature

When you want to shred like tool but your parents make you learn piano

Convert the Sequence to base 8 instead of base 10 and see how it goes

Da perfect music

Absolutely beautiful, and an amazing inspiration

Fifibobonanachi

Got it, this is going to be Gyro’s theme in the Part 7 anime adaptation.

Ok tell me this, when he’s in the field he’s animated right?

Beautiful!

Wow!!!

The sound of nature?

plays toolOr you could just listen to Lateralus

“Mathematics is the alphabet with which God has written the universe”

-Galileo Galilei.

That very well be the creators song

My brain has a hard time with brut memorization of numbers, but playing them on a piano or guitar takes hardly any effort. I think I'll try to come up with something similar to this on my guitar.

Tutorial plss

You're phoning the alien race that left us here!

Can you play algebra

lateralus

It must not be said fibonacci sequence because fibonacci himself admitted in his book ibaci that he learnt this maths from indian mathematician pangal who travelled persia along with traders…fibonacci just translated it into his language..he was not its inventor.

The first number of de sequence is 1, not 0

even better song is lateralas

Guy at a party playing wonderwall:

Me: pftt casual

Simulation.

Fraaud

There's no magic, you don't change scale. Any notes of a major scale played randomly will make music. Why don't you try to transpose maths on the chromatic scale?

I was hoping this would be more interesting

Playing a 12 note scale with a 10 based number system, thought about changing the musical scale? Pythagoras divised the current western musical note system, im sure there could be other scales to use and to see the result

Красивая сказочка, с огромными допущениями. Спасибо

This is BS tho cause you’re playing the better sounding notes with the left hand. Play the actual numbers you assigned only using the right hand and let’s see what kind of “music” comes out

The thing is, everything turns into something good from a piano.

Me: Does one problem on the Fibonacci sequence

Youtube:HERE IS THE FIBONACCI SONG

Mathematicians can be great componists.

Now try Pascal's triangle.

Hi is the only way to get the sheet music and piano tutorial through Patreon or is their another way? Also, does the sheet music contain the LH harmony or just RH melody? Thank you.

I came to know about the Fibnacci sequence through a mobile game way back in 2005. In Doom mobile version on Nokia a turn based shooter game where i had to open a door by inserting the first 5 digits of the sequence.

interessante

Sounds like a main character just died

😨🤯

The infinite melody

Nobody…

Fettuccine: hey! what if I just do maths and the sequence of numbers would make a FUCKING WHITE SHITSONG FOR LAZY ASS PEOPLE WHO HAVE THE ENTIRE FREE TIME TO DO SHIT.

Amazing! I mean how you can figure out such large numbers… Totally unbelievable

Play the integral of cosine.

i’m watching this with cum on my chest

Beautiful.

I guess Fibonacci was a musician and designed this for music.

CSE wale zarur aynge yaha chahe kabhi program banaya na ho fibonacci ka

Amazing!

No words for this amazing work

What the.. :'

Youtube- Have you heard of Fibonacci series

That is just awesome bro!.. I keep watching it,.. Really nice played!… If you have the right ear, you can hear absolutely every single note from the Fibonacci sequence,.. La nature est bien faite!!!… 🎼 🎶👌🏻

Next do it in a ten-tone system 😉

I wonder if Nature has copyrights
